Welcome to First Baptist Locust Grove
First Baptist has been in the Locust Grove community since 1825 - serving, reaching and being a key part of the community. We have a rich heritage and an exciting future. The initial church location was used until April of 2008 when we re-located to our brand new facility which you see pictured here.
Our church body has grown through the years and comprises a membership that loves the Lord, the community and worshiping our God in a mighty way. Our style of music is blended. We sing praise/worship songs and hymns. We have a praise team and a choir. Instrumentally youll hear a bass and acoustical guitar, piano, organ, drums and other instruments.
Our beliefs are basically aligned with the Southern Baptist Convention. We are a conservative congregation meaning that we believe the bible is the authentic, inspired, infallible word of God (and we arent mad about it) We use modern translations usually the NAS. We believe every miracle in the Bible actually happened and that Jesus Christ is the sole way of salvation. We engage in local, national and international missions.
Being and Making disciples is our purpose. Everything we do filters through our purpose. Our purpose is based on the great commandment and the great commission. We would be honored if you would be our guest this Sunday.
