Wesley Moore, Chairman

Wesley Moore

Wesley Moore was saved in April of 1969 while attending The Rock Baptist Church, Rex GA. He was ordained by the same church on October 27th 1974. He has been married to Nancy Scott Moore for over 45 years. They have two children: Tonya and Paul. They also have five grandchildren: Zachary, Amber, Brandon, Brady, Brooke. Wesley retired from Northwest Airlines as a Maintenance controller with 37 years served. He currently teaches a Senior Adult coed class and is a Member of Fishers of Men Motorcycle Ministry. He is a member of a Veterans club at church and involved with the Wednesday Night Suppers as Cook and pot scrubber. He enjoys riding his motorcycle and gardening in his spare time. Wesley's favorite Bible verse is Micah 7:7 which says, "But as for me, I will watch expectantly for the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation, My God will hear me."

 
 
 
 

Murphy Bartlett

Murphy Bartlett

Murphy Bartlett was saved at First Baptist Church of Locust Grove on February 13th 2002. He was ordained as a Deacon on November 30th 2008. Murphy has served on the Building and Grounds committee and is currently serving on the Baptism committee. He is an active member of The Fisher of Men motorcycle ministry and enjoys riding and "fellowshipping" with other riders. Murphy loves spending time with his wife of over 30 years Rene’, his sons Craig and Corey and daughter-in-law Amanda, and his grandson Riley, who is is pride and joy. Murphy's favorite Bible verse is Romans 12:2, "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect."

Tony Bright

Tony Bright was saved by the grace of God in November 2003. He and his wife Paige joined FBC Locust Grove in September 2005, and Tony was ordained as a Deacon on November 8, 2009. They have two children: Melody and Aaron. Tony has served as an adult Sunday School class teacher and is currently filling in for any adult Sunday School class teachers when they are out. He also serves as a Decision Counselor and enjoys giving devotions during Upward Basketball games and other community events. Tony's favorite Bible verse is Joshua 24:15, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

 
 
 
 

Bill Brown

Bill was saved as a young man. He and his wife, Betsy, have been married almost 26 years and have been blessed with three sons and a daughter. The oldest, B.J. and Ben, serve in the United States Marine Corps. Brandon is 15 and in 9th grade, and Abigail is 6 and is in Kindergarten.

The Browns have been members of LCFBC since 2005. Together, Bill and Betsy teach 1st grade Sunday School. Bill serves as Deacon and decision counselor. He also serves on the personnel committee and vehicle committee. Bill and Betsy serve as a team in the GROW Ministry. Bill is allowed to cook at various church functions and enjoys spending time in the outdoors with his family. His son Brandon is teaching him how to fish and his wife and daughter are teaching him Grace.

Bill’s favorite verse is Revelation 22:17. “ The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wishes take the water of life without cost.

Johnny Jackson

Johnny Jackson was saved when he was about 14 years of age at Harrison Road Baptist Church, East Point, Ga. He has been married to Margaret for almost 53 years. They have 3 children (Angelia, Eugene and James). They also have 9 granchildren, 7 great grandchildren and expecting another soon. He worked as a mechanic and inspector at Delta Airlines for 37 years. They went to Mount Vernon Baptist Chruch for about 16 years and was ordained as deacon there October 3,2004. He has been at FBC Locust Grove about four years. He is also active in Jolly Elders and Usher ministry. His favorite bible verse is John 3:16. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosever beliveth in him should not perish but have everlasting life."

 
 
 
 

Ken Johnston

Ken Johnston grew up as the son of a Baptist Minister and was saved at the age of 9 at the Cooper Street Baptist Church in Atlanta, Ga. He attended Clayton State College, is a veteran of the USAF, and has been married for 50 years to Wendy, whom he met and married while serving in England. They have three children, Lori, Scott, and Mark and have been blessed with seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Ken has been a member since 1989 and was ordained as a deacon in 1994. He has also served as Chairman of Deacons, Finance, and Long Range Planning. He enjoys amateur photography, coin collecting, hunting, and fishing. A favorite Bible verse of his is Isaiah 40:31, “but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not grow faint.”

Kevin Livingston has been attending First Baptist Church of Locust Grove for 8 years and is married to my lovely wife Margaret. He has two wonderful girls, Nan Elise and Priscilla. He participates in the Grow and Upward ministries. He enjoys hunting and fishing.

Mac McLendon

Mac McLendon

Mac was born and raised in Locust Grove and currently lives on land given to his maternal grandmother by her father as a wedding present. He has attended First Baptist all his life, serving in a variety of positions. You will see him in the choir most Sunday mornings. He also leads a group of wonderful Christian servants during the 8:30 Sunday School hour. He dearly loves his wife Peggy and daughters Katie and Christy. Cliff Shearouse

FBC Locust Grove has been Cliff's church home for more than thirty years. Cliff was ordained as a deacon March 14,1999. He has been married to his wife, Sandi, for for more than ten years and has three children: Clay, Maggi, and Sadi. He currently teaches a 7th & 8th grade Sunday School class, has been involved in Upward for 6 years, and is part of Fishers of Men motorcycle ministry. In his spare time, Cliff loves to spend time with his family and participate in all his children do. He also enjoys spending time with other motorcyclists ministering to the lost and needy.

David Wyatt

David Wyatt was ordained into the Deacon Ministry May 22, 1983. David is married to Anne and has three sons, (Daniel, Justin and Patrick) and currently two grandsons (Josiah Gardiner and Samuel David). David and Anne began their ministry at FBLG in May of 1988. David has served on various committees as well as Chairman of Deacons. David currently teaches an adult co-ed Bible Study class. He enjoys hunting, fishing and golf. David’s favorite Bible verse is John 14:6: Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me."
